Rochester Community and Technical College Dominates NJCAA DIII Wrestling Championships
Rochester Community and Technical College secured its second consecutive NJCAA DIII national title by achieving the highest score among DIII programs at the NJCAA Wrestling National Championships held in Council Bluffs, Iowa. With a total of 68 points, Rochester outperformed the second-place team, SUNY Niagara, by 24 points. This victory marks the Yellowjackets' seventh national title in their program's history.
In the same tournament, MCAC rival Ridgewater College placed fifth with a score of 27 points. Other MCAC programs also contributed to the competition, with Bismarck State College scoring 21.5 points, Minnesota West Community and Technical College earning 14 points, Minnesota North College-Itasca achieving 13 points, and Northland Community and Technical College finishing with 6.5 points.
Head coach Andy Hackenmueller received the DIII National Coach of the Year award and was also named Region 13 Coach of the Year.
